Adopt-a-Senior and Celebrate the Class of 2022

By Susan Smigielski Acker Leave a Comment

For the third year in a row, Virginia Peninsula residents can show high school seniors some love, because what should be a big celebratory year has been curbed by the pandemic.

Adopt-A-Senior Class of 2022 Peninsula is on Facebook with profiles of seniors. This senior class has not had a normal high school year since they were freshmen. Their sophomore year came to halt in March 2020 when Gov. Ralph Northam closed the schools. For their junior year, most took classes online.

While some school systems are allowing normal homecoming activities, many are only allowing certain activities during school hours.

Adopting a senior is easy. Just claim the senior in the comment section on the senior’s profile. Each senior has completed a form with their favorite items. Just drop off items at their home when you are able. Visit https://www.facebook.com/groups/173403801612821.
