CASSAC Helps Families

By Susan Smigielski Acker Leave a Comment

To address the growing need that impacts families and employers, the Peninsula region came together to provide a solution: CASSAC. Care And Supervision for School-Age Children is a regional collaborative funded by the CARES Act.

Participating child care providers will receive grant-vouchers that will pay up to 140 percent of the base tuition for school-age children who are enrolled in virtual learning. Funds can be used to pay for PPE and other allowable expenses related to expanding capacity for school-age children.

Parents can call 757-229-2222 to get more information about how to sign-up children for CASSAC slots, with tuition paid for up to eight weeks. Some restrictions apply.

Child care providers can apply here to participate in CASSAC.
