Plastic Free July

By Susan Smigielski Acker Leave a Comment

Challenge yourself, family and friends to reduce plastic use in July.

Single-use plastics are used for a few brief minutes, but they can persist in landfills or as litter for decades. They can break down into microplastics that contaminate our soil and water.

This July, you can help reduce plastic pollution by making small changes in your daily life.

There are several ways to reduce plastic use. Bring your own reusable bags to the grocery store. Choose a reusable water bottle and fill it with tap water. Skip the straw when you order a drink. Pack your lunch with reusable containers and flatware.
