Newport News Mayor McKinley L. Price, DDS was honored by the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) with the Global Statesman Award for outstanding leadership and service.
Price was one of 100 bipartisan mayors in the United States to be recognized last week for his work to advocate for America’s global leadership.

“I am humbled and proud to be recognized by the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition,” Price said.
“America’s global leadership begins at home, and I am honored to work alongside my fellow mayors across the nation to improve the lives of those we have the privilege of serving. Incredible change is taking place in our country, and many of the ideas and momentum begin on the local level, in communities like Newport News. I look forward to continuing to advocate for change that uplifts residents and protects human rights around the globe,” he said.
“Mayors across America are stepping up, knowing that diplomacy and development are essential to the health, safety, and economic interests of every American family,” said Liz Schrayer, President and CEO of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition.
The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (www.usglc.org) is a broad-based influential network of 500 businesses and NGOs; national security and foreign policy experts; and business, faith-based, academic, military, and community leaders in all 50 states who support strategic investments to elevate development and diplomacy alongside defense in order to build a better, safer world.
