The COVID-19 pandemic challenged businesses and non-profit organizations, and the Peninsula SPCA is no exception.
Because of Gov. Ralph Northam’s restrictions on public gatherings, the Peninsula SPCA was unable to hold two of its major fundraisers in the last year, which accounts for approximately 20 percent of its operating budget. In an effort to find creative ways to fundraise, the Peninsula SPCA will have its first ever virtual 50/50 Raffle. This fundraiser will provide much needed funds for the pets and programs of the PSPCA.

“Having to cancel Furball and Barktoberfest has been devastating to the Shelter. This 50/50 Raffle has the potential to provide much needed funds for our programs, including sheltering and finding homes for homeless pets. It is also a new and exciting way to engage the community who has been so supportive throughout the pandemic,” said Megan Steele, PSPCA Executive Director.
The Raffle is sponsored by Pearson Toyota, a longtime supporter of the PSPCA. Raffle tickets will go on sale beginning March 15 and the winning ticket will be drawn on Facebook Live on April 30th. Tickets will be $20 each and a maximum of 2,000 tickets will be sold, with the winner potentially taking home $20,000.To purchase tickets and for complete game rules visit peninsulaspca.org
