Virtually Virtual Learning Academy

By Susan Smigielski Acker Leave a Comment

Veteran educators Julianne Marse and Penny Huskey are offering third through eighth grade children an opportunity to learn with them.

Both are retired educators and still certified teachers. Between the two of them, Marse and Huskey have nearly 60 years of teaching experience.

This program is designed for parents to drop their children at Marse’s home. The students participate in their online classes with the teachers overseeing them.

When online class is over and students must do their assignments, Marse and Huskey enhance the learning experience by working with them on the assignments. They also teach as needed to enhance a lesson or help if a student needs it.

“We are doing more than just making sure they are staying in online class,” Marse said.

“We also include physical activity every day as well as varied enrichment activities every Wednesday. Most enrichment activities are STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) related,” she added.

Currently, they have room for five more students. The cost is $60 for a six-hour day. For information contact them at vvla.help@gmail.com.
