The Peninsula Fine Arts Center’s big summer and autumn exhibit is The Wyeths: Three Generations Works from the Bank of America Collection.
Opening July 25, the exhibition is a survey of works by one of America’s finest illustrators, N.C. Wyeth along with his son, Andrew, an important realist painter. It also includes his son, Jamie, a popular portraitist, along with members of the extended family.

The collection includes 74 paintings and drawings by the three generations of artists. It showcases their commitment to realism, technical brilliance and narrative sensibility.
This exhibition has been loaned through the Bank of America Art in Our Communities ® program.
In conjunction with The Wyeths, an installation will be fabricated by local artist Ryan Lytle. Using his own artistic language, he will interpret the story and illustrations from the children’s book, Cabbages and Kings, written by Elizabeth Seabrook and originally illustrated by Jamie Wyeth.
