Yorktown’s Sounds of Summer concerts kick off June 2, at Riverwalk Landing in Historic Yorktown. The series runs Thursday nights from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. until August 11, with no concert on July 7.
Opening the ten-week series is The Uptown Band. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy dinner or dessert at any of Historic Yorktown’s waterfront restaurants including Water Street Grille, Carrot Tree, Umi Sushi, Ben and Jerry’s, Yorktown Pub, and Larry’s. There will also be a variety of food trucks.

Guests are permitted to bring their own blankets, chairs, and small coolers. No tables, umbrellas, or tents are allowed. There will be a dance floor and friendly games of cornhole.
Free parking is available at the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace, York Hall, York-Poquoson Courthouse, County Administration Building, and other designated public parking lots throughout town. The complimentary, wheelchair-accessible Yorktown Trolley runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. during every concert with a modified route that includes some of the stops on the outskirts of town.
