LATROBE, Pa. — A Pennsylvania resident was preparing to leave home for work when they allegedly discovered their own co-worker standing inside their garage, according to authorities.
The encounter is part of a disturbing series of allegations against Taylor Foster, 33, who authorities say had been sending threatening messages and allegedly appearing at the victim’s home.
Foster faces two counts of criminal trespassing by entering a structure, indecent assault, stalking and harassment, according to court records reviewed by Law&Crime.
The case was issued on Aug. 24, although authorities have not specified exactly when each of the alleged incidents occurred.
Foster was eventually taken into custody and lodged in the Westmoreland County Prison, where he remains unable to post $2,500 bail.
Threatening Messages Allegedly Started in April
According to the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office, the alleged harassment began with Facebook messages Foster sent to a co-worker in April. Authorities did not disclose the victim’s age, sex or workplace.
However, investigators described the messages as particularly disturbing.
“The messages are of an extremely sexually graphic, violent and threatening nature,” the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office said.
Officials also allege that the messages included descriptions of Foster entering the victim’s home and nearly being caught before allegedly sneaking back out.
The messages reportedly went beyond threats, with deputies claiming Foster also described his intentions of going to the victim’s home to rape them.
Victim Allegedly Finds Foster Waiting in Garage
The situation reportedly escalated when the victim accused Foster of inappropriately grabbing them on two occasions. Weeks later, authorities say the victim was leaving home for work when they encountered Foster inside their garage.
According to investigators, Foster allegedly backed the victim into a wall before leaving through a side door. The encounter reportedly did not end the alleged harassment.
Just two days later, the victim said Foster was again at their residence as they prepared to leave for work. This time, authorities say the victim managed to close the door before Foster could get inside.
The repeated appearances at the residence became part of the allegations used to support the stalking and trespassing charges.
Deputies Track Foster to Greensburg Hotel
After the criminal charges were filed, the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office said its Fugitive Unit began working to locate Foster.
“After charges were filed, our Fugitive Unit began their investigation to locate Foster,” the sheriff’s office said.
Investigators eventually found him at the Red Roof Inn in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, where he was detained. The arrest brought an end to the search for Foster following the allegations involving his co-worker and the victim’s home.
The Latrobe Police Department filed the criminal complaint in the case.
Foster Scheduled to Return to Court
Court records show Foster appeared for a preliminary arraignment on Aug. 31. He is scheduled to return to court for a preliminary hearing on Sept. 14.
The charges against Foster are allegations, and the case will proceed through the Pennsylvania court system. Latrobe, where the criminal complaint was filed, is a borough located about 40 miles east of Pittsburgh.
Authorities have not publicly identified the victim or provided additional details about their workplace.
As the case moves forward, the upcoming preliminary hearing is expected to provide another step in the legal proceedings surrounding the stalking, trespassing, assault and harassment allegations.
